Hatha Yoga - all levels

 Hatha yoga attempts to balance mind and body via physical postures or "asanas", purification practices, controlled breathing, and the calming of the mind through relaxation and meditation. These poses teach poise, balance and strength and are practiced to improve the body's physical health and clear the mind.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is an ancient yogic practice designed to balance the subtle energies within our bodies, master the art of sleep and experience greater depths of meditation. The phrase Yoga Nidra literally means “yoga sleep.” While it does not involve actually sleeping, the practice emphasizes long periods in Savasana (Corpse Pose). Yoga Nidra induces complete mental, physical and emotional relaxation and healing of the body by allowing it the rest and recharge it usually lacks in our all to busy lifestyles.

Private Meditation Classes

 This is an opportunity to learn how to sit quietly without repetative thoughts or anxiety filling your mind.  The meditation is always taught in a series of four - 1 hour classes, fitting in to your personal schedule.  If you would like to learn how to experience calmness and release from mental and physical tension, meditation is here for you.  Contact Janice Varuna for more information on these life enhancing classes.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is a form of yoga that seeks to achieve physical, mental and emotional relaxation with the aid of props. The use of props makes it easier for you to maintain balance while you are stimulating and relaxing your body.

Restorative yoga provides healing for the body and the mind. It is especially useful when you need to eliminate fatigue and stress that result from your daily activities. It can also help you recover from illness and injury or overcome emotional depression and anxiety.

 

Private Breathing Techniques (Pranayama) Classes
